Colin Russell-Jones
An unusually fine pantomimist and comedian and a well-trained dancer. I think that what he has to teach would be of great help to a student. Agnes de Mille
Mr. Russell studied with Dame Marie Rambert, Stanislav Idzikovsky, Nadine Nicoleava-Legat and Lydia Kyacht. He danced with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Yugoslav National, Irish National, Harlequin Ballet, Legat, Swedish Ballet, Peninsula Youth Ballet, Dancers Repertory Theatre and 23 musical, Pantomime and summer sessions. Mr. Russell danced in Swan lake, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Coppelia, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Carnival, Harlequinserenade and Les Sylphides to name a few. He taught at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Connecticut, Louisville and Notre Dame Colleges in Canada and the USA, Tanz Akademie in Marburg, Germany for fourteen summer schools. Mr. Russell directed the Icelandic National Ballet, Batdor Dance Co. Israel, Ballet Royal, Peninsula Musical Theatre Bay High Schools, Plays and musicals at Mills H.S., Burlingame H.S. and Half Moon Bay H.S. all in the San Francisco Bay area.
